St. Christophers also has Community Employment Schemes (CE scheme). The CE Scheme provides work experience and training opportunities to people who are long-term unemployed. CE schemes offer a range of different roles within St. Christopher’s Services. For example, CE roles may be in Administration, Maintenance, SNA and Domestic. The roles last for a year and up to 3 years (subject to funding), working for 19.5 hours per week. You may be eligible for CE if you are 21 years and over and you are getting a qualifying social welfare payment for at least one year. To apply for the CE scheme, you can register at your local Intreo Centre or Social Welfare Branch Office.
