The adult training unit is divided in two, one unit on St Christophers Services main campus, and the other in the Axis Centre, Longford.
The goal of the unit is to enhance the quality of life for services users by promoting independence, inclusion, and a sense of well-being. Using a person-centered approach, we tailor support and services based on the unique needs, preferences, and abilities of each individual. Individuals are involved in the decision-making process regarding their care, goals, education and activities
The unit offers structured programmes designed to enhance daily living skills, communication, socialization, work experience, employment preparation, and recreational activities. Within this environment, individuals not only have opportunities to feel a sense of belonging but are also encouraged to actively contribute to promoting social inclusion. We strive to create a supportive and inclusive environment that empowers individuals to lead fulfilling lives to the best of their abilities.
